Nicknamed the ‘Golden Mile’ Durban’s beachfront teems with life and is a popular destination for sun worshippers and surfers.
The surf is perfect for all levels, whether you are a team of pro juniors or a beginner, laid back old guy or girls on tour; The huge bay provides shelter from big swells up the coast, perfect for beginners and intermediate surfers while the more advanced chargers will be surfing the bombs a couple of hundred meters up the beach.
In Durban you will:
Get to surf the famous beaches of the ‘Golden Mile’ surfing at beaches such as the Bay of Plenty, New Pier, South Beach to name a few.
You will experience the unique mix of colonial European, Indian and Zulu cultures, evident in the range of attractions on offer along the promenade.
Umhlanga has one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world. Situated on the east coast of South Africa just north of the Durban, Umhlanga faces the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. The golden beaches stretch northwards for more than 200 kilometers.
You will spend seven nights in Umhlanga and get to travel daily to the best surf breaks along the North Coast & South Coast, visiting world-class surfing beaches. This trip is packed full of adventure, there is an abundance of suitable waves for all levels.
In the South Coast you will:
Surf uncrowded world-class point breaks and beach breaks on the Hibiscus Coast, KwaZulu-Natal.
Visit unspoilt beaches, which offer a slice of the paradise that is this part of the coast. Life here is relaxed and typical of the Hibiscus coast - one comes here to slow down and enjoy the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. You will get plenty of surf coaching, and time to soak up the relaxed vibe whilst taking in the magnificent scenery.
Mpila Camp – Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Reserve:
Spend two nights in the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Park, which covers 96,000 hectares and is renowned for its variety of bird and animal life.
There have been over 300 bird species recorded, and cheetah, wild dog, the Big 5 and many species of antelope and other plains game including giraffe and zebra inhabit the Park, offering visitors a varied self-drive game viewing experience.
The Park is most famous for its population of white rhino, of which there are about 1,600, and it is practically impossible to visit the Park without seeing one - if this happens, then you are extremely unlucky!
Hippo & Crocodile Boat Cruise – St Lucia:
You will spend one night in magnificent St Lucia wetlands, with a vibrant town, and beautiful beaches and fantastic scenery. Learn about the numerous birdlife, hippo and croc to be sighted with educational talks. The boats offer ample space to walk around in and comfortable seats from which to study the beautiful scenery, while being custom built to venture into shallow waters, excellent photographic opportunities are a given. A fantastic learning experience and fun day out.
A land of amazing exotic palm fringed beaches, azure warm sea, with a diverse culture, amazing fauna and flora together with unique cuisine makes for a true African adventure.
In Mozambique you will:
Visit the southern region of Mozambique beginning at the small village of Ponta do Ouro to surf the legendary sand bottom point break. You will spend 5 nights in Ponta do Ouro, getting maximum surf time, in crystal clear warm waters. Visit the local beachfront restaurants and enjoy cold refreshment in the evening while you watch the sun go down.
Mozambique has some of the best diving on the planet. You will have the exciting opportunity to swim and dive with the Ponta dolphins and exotic marine life, a truly amazing experience. You will experience a good dose of laid-back charm, which will make this an unforgettable destination.

To ensure you are well looked after and to see that the tour runs to schedule. Your highly internationally experienced Surf Coach & Tour Guide are there to offer support and guidance as well as making the tour full of fun, laughs and an unforgettable experience.
To provide you with expert advice and mentoring during Surf Tour. Your Coach will also provide unlimited coaching and produce development plans to improve your surfing & ocean awareness.
Full Time Lifeguard Trainer Assessor:
We take safety serious and all our staff are qualified Lifeguard Trainer / Assessors, there to provide safety advice and daily risk assessments before each surf session or water activity. Our Lifeguard Trainer / Assessors are highly qualified and active in their rolls so you can always guarantee expert advice.
Full Time Advanced 1st Aider:
Our staff will look after you and attend to any 1st aid needs if required. We hold qualifications recognized by the UKSAR Medical Group – Level III Intermediate Casualty Care, so you know you are in good hands.
All accommodation is provided during your tour. You will stay in a variety of locations and sample different types of resting places throughout the tour. The accommodation has been hand picked by us to ensure you are more than comfortable during your adventure
All transport provided. Vehicles will be comfortable and have air conditioning and well maintained, giving you space to relax and enjoy the ride!
South Africans love to braai and relax around with ice-cold refreshment & engage lighthearted conversation. Surf Coach International provides a traditional braai (BBQ) once a week. Vegetarian meals also available. In Mozambique we are able to provide you with a Fish Braai (BBQ) having the freshest fish & catch of the day.
Experience the magical world of swimming with dolphins in Southern Mozambique. Swim coordinators will direct you on a majestic journey where the opportunity for gaining peace of mind and well-being is yours for the taking. Arrays of dolphin species can be found in Mozambique waters, those include the shy Indo-Pacific Humpback and the striking Spinner Dolphin. Encounters often occur with the curious inshore Bottlenose Dolphin.
